Every burner story starts somewhere. In a newsletter someone opens with curiosity. In a social post that sparks excitement. In a website page where a new participant finally understands how to join. Clear communication turns curiosity into participation.
For Where the Sheep Sleep (and beyond) we are looking for a Communications Co-Lead to join the Burning Man Netherlands Comms team and help shape how the event speaks to the world.
You help plan, write, and publish the information participants rely on. From newsletters and social posts to website updates and practical guides. You make sure the right information reaches the community in a clear and welcoming way.
You work closely with the Burning Man Netherlands Comms team. They support the strategy, tools, and structure. Together you keep the flow of information steady in the months leading up to the event.

Why this matters
Participants rely on good communication to find their way into the event. Clear information lowers the barrier to join, volunteer, create art, or attend for the first time. Your work helps the community understand how to participate and feel welcomed long before they arrive at the gate.
What is in it for you
You join an experienced and creative communication team. You gain hands-on experience with event communication, community storytelling, and digital publishing. You help shape how thousands of people discover and experience Where the Sheep Sleep.
