Gate Lead
Where the Sheep Sleep is looking for a Gate Lead! The Gate is the first experience participants encounter when coming to this event. Not only in architecture also in the people welcoming and educating the fresh visitors. As Gate Lead you are responsible for everything that happens at the Gate. You will be responsible for the Greeters, the Gate Ticketing Shift and education at the Gate.
This role has pre-event and event duties. The Gate Team will coordinate the structure and decor of Gate and organize volunteers to ensure all shifts for the gate are covered. You will instruct Gate Ticketing and Greeters at the beginning of their shifts.
Your responsibilities are, amongst others:
- Planning Gate and Greeter shifts in our Volunteer Management system
- Facilitate educational material at the Gate
- Instruct volunteers pre-event
- Meet-up with other Leads pre-event to collaborate and combine strengths
- Recruit Gate volunteers
- First-person of contact onsite for all Gate related issues
Who are you?
You are a person that oozes hospitability and who loves to give people a safe landing in the world of BMNL and who knows the 10 Burning Man principles by heart! Further, we ask for:
- Great communication skills
- A person who knows how to motivate and energize people
- Organisation skills
- Availability on Wednesday night for our bi-weekly pre-event meeting
- Available during the entire event for gate related issues. You can be onsite on Wednesday for build
