Gate Sheeptime Lead(s)

Every journey into Where The Sheep Sleep begins at the Gate, where the default world fades and the magic begins! We are looking for Gate Sheeptime Leads (2) that understand the gate is more than an entrance, it is the Welcome Home for our community. 

What you’ll do

As a Gate Sheeptime Lead you get to lead the greeter team for a day! Your responsibilities include: 

• You are in charge of the scanning of tickets and wristband system
• You instruct and lead the greeters that are volunteering that day
• You bring the 10 Principles to life at the gate 

• You collaborate with the safety and mobility team if any issues arise

   

Who we’re looking for

• You are calm under pressure and clear in communication
• You are skilled at facilitating flow and welcoming and educating diverse people
• You are comfortable with a blend of structure and improvisation
• Ideally you are familiar with WTSS and its volunteer structure (or excited to quickly learn).
• You are available for a training before the event (by the gate leads)

The Gate is more than an entry point, it is the first hug, the first smile, the first moment of arrival. As Gate Lead, you help shape that crucial first impression. You help participants transition from the outside world into our shared space of participation and possibility.
