Where the Sheep Sleep is looking for a Ranger Co-Lead! As Ranger Co-Lead you will make sure that Where The Sheep Sleep stays a safe and friendly place.   

Rangers are participants who volunteer a portion of their time at Where the Sheep Sleep in service of the safety and well-being of the community. Rangers act as non-confrontational community mediators, providers of reliable information, facilitators of public safety, and navigators of the edge of chaos.

Day or night, pairs of Rangers can be found walking around Where the Sheep Sleep, engaging with the community, enjoying the art, and always ready to help sort things out.

In your Co-Lead position you will be responsible for:

• Briefing and debriefing Rangers at the beginning and end of their shifts
• Giving Ranger training (with another Lead)
• The first point of contact for security issues and medical help (for at least one day)

Who are you?

You are an Experienced Ranger who loves to keep the community safe. Helping others makes you happy. Your friends might describe you as responsible and reliable. Further, you have:

• Excellent communication skills
• A great sense of humor
• Patience, patience, and more patience
• Being trained as an Emergency Response Officer (BHV) is a big pro (not a must)
• Because this position is fulfilled by just you we ask for your commitment to actually be there
• Availability on Wednesday night for our bi-weekly pre-event meeting (at least once or twice)
